Who are we?

comercialised spiritual life

In the city, everything becomes commercial.  Even spirituality is harnessed to drive the money machine.

Trouble is the hijack works in both directions.  Places where we expect to find space for spiritual life so often turn out to have filled up with commercial stuff.  John learned a lot when he saw his mentor physically disrupt the religious market in a place that was meant to give people spiritual space.  As he did this, he said, "Get these out of here!  Stop turning my Father's house into a market!"

  1. strange how people seem to need to use Christian mythology to give weight to their credentials...a cynical misuse of the memory of Jesus in society, or an unconscious longing for spiritual integrity? Hmmm?
