Who are we?

still meaningless ...

Our philosopher pauses at this point to consider 'the point' again.
While knowledge, pleasure and achievement have proved empty, he feels instinctively it must be that "wisdom is better than folly".  We do too.  Good things must be better than not-so-good things.
But when we come down to it, like our philosopher, "I came to realise that the same fate overtakes them both."  Like the posh bag with the FOREVER tag line, which ends up in the overgrown corner next to the electricity transformer with the empty chip packet and the used up lemonade bottle, nothing is forever.  It all looks decidedly depressing as he concludes: For a person may labour wth wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then they must leave all they own to another who has not toiled for it.  In fact: Like the fool, the wise too must die!
So, perhaps meaning is unavailable?
The interesting thing is, this guy who has tried everything and found it all wanting actually comes to a different conclusion ... but that can wait till next time.
