Who are we?

"I have measured out my life with coffee spoons"

TS Eliot
"I despise my life; ...
... my days have no meaning."
Job (circa 2500 BCE)
Two men separated by millenia; both long for meaning.
Job holds out for God to change his meaningless existence:
"I will wait for my renewal to come.
You will call and I will answer you;
you will long for the creature you have made."
Do I listen for my name in the noise of the coffee shop?
